Who is Autopro
Autopro is an Australian auto stores chain; we take a look at what their stores have to offer customers.
The Autopro brand was established in 1982 as a marketing group to cover several independent automotive retail stores. They produced their first joint catalogue in 1984, and today Autopro distributes millions of catalogues each year to all corners of mainland Australia.
In 2010, Paul Dumbrell, son of one of Autopro and Autobarn’s founders Garry Dumbrell, became CEO of Autopro. He told the Sydney Morning Herald that the GFC had actually created more opportunities for auto stores because people stopped buying cars unless they had to. This meant they were visiting their local auto store and buying whatever they could to keep their cars running for longer.
Since 2008, Autopro has been part of Automotive Brands Group and is thereby owned by Metcash, the force behind other independent champions IGA, Mitre 10, Cellarbrations and Bottle-O. Autopro stores are locally-owned and run, and their staff live and breathe all things auto. So you know you can get the expertise you need when you need it.
Autopro also has a VIP Club that offers exclusive offers, competition entries and safe driving tips.
