OPPO’s newest Reno series smartphone has hit Aussie shores — boasting a striking design and pro camera features to make your selfies and portrait shots stand out from the pack.
The OPPO Reno10 5G is a feature-packed, 5G-ready phone with a sub-$750 price tag and a focus on photography. The Reno series is OPPO’s ‘portrait expert’ device range, and the new Reno10 5G looks to be no exception. The device comes with a triple rear camera combo, designed specifically to capture clear, natural images in both low and high-light environments.
“We’re proud to introduce the Reno10 5G to the Australian market, combining our signature Reno Glow design with premium features and unparalleled photography capabilities,” said Michael Tran, Managing Director of OPPO Australia.
“With its remarkable Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera System and 2X Telephoto Portrait Camera, the Reno10 5G takes the portrait shooting experience to new heights.”
OPPO Reno10 5G: features and specs
If you like your phones on the slim side, but don’t want to sacrifice screen size or performance, the Reno10 5G has you covered. It’s a lightweight skinny legend, weighing in at around 185g and with a thickness of just 7.99mm.
OPPO has given the Reno10 a 3D curved design, which offers a comfortable grip in the back, and a more immersive screen on the front. The HDR10+ display measures in at 6.7 inches, and includes a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness of up to 950 nits (800 nits under sunlight). This means you’ll get smooth scrolling and gameplay, and screen brightness that holds up under most lighting conditions.
The biggest selling point of the new Reno is its triple camera setup, which OPPO calls the Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera System. The rear camera lineup features a big 64-megapixel ultra-clear main camera, a 32-megapixel telephoto portrait lens, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 112° field of view.
The 32-megapixel portrait camera is equipped with a Sony IMX709 sensor: this is designed to replicate a professional DSLR camera experience and deliver clear shots with a higher light intake. OPPO has paired this with its Portrait Expert Engine processing, which the brand says can optimise photos to produce accurate skin tones, faces, and backgrounds.
The Reno10’s rear camera system also supports 2x hybrid optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom, and can shoot 4K video at 30 frames per second. In front, the device features a 32-megapixel Ultra-Clear selfie camera, which comes with portrait mode, night mode, retouching, ‘cute shots’, dual-view video, and time-lapse photography.
Powering the Reno10 5G’s camera setup is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, made to support 5G use and reduce battery consumption. You’ll get 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, plus support for up to one terabyte of expandable storage.
The Reno10 runs on a 5,000mAh battery that’s compatible with OPPO’s 67W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge, which gives a full 100% recharge in as little as 47 minutes. It’s a key feature for a phone catered to all-day use, and OPPO’s included battery health engine helps extend battery durability for four years.
Rounding out the Reno10 5G’s main specs, you’ll get OPPO’s ColorOS 13.1 operating system, fingerprint and facial recognition security, and dual SIM card support. You’ll also be able to pick up the phone in two colours: the subtle Silvery Grey, and the gorgeous Ice Blue, with a shifting blue-pink gradient.
The OPPO Reno10 5G is available now, with a RPP of $749. You can buy the device directly from OPPO Australia’s online store, as well as from JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks.
