About Superloop mobile plans
Superloop is better known for its internet plans, however it launched a range of mobile SIM-only prepaid plans in late 2022. The five Superloop mobile prepaid plans all include unlimited standard calls and texts within Australia and fifteen select countries around the world including New Zealand, Japan, the UK and USA, with data banking available up to 500GB or 1000GB, depending on the plan. The four most expensive plans include access to the 5G network, but have capped speeds of 150Mbps and 250Mbps depending on the plan.
All Superloop phone plans run on a 30-day expiry meaning customers will usually only need to recharge 12 times in a year, not the typical 13 times like prepaid plans on 28-day expiry periods from other telcos.
Superloop also offers data add-ons from $10 for 1GB of data which can be added to your plan and will be rolled-over into your data bank if not used before your next recharge.
What helps Superloop stand out from some other telcos, is the ability to bundle your mobile plan in with a home internet plan to save up to $15 a month off of your broadband bill.
Which mobile network does Superloop use?
Superloop is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) using the Telstra wholesale mobile network to deliver service. Telstra’s wholesale network will reach 98.8% of the Australian population for 4G and 75% of the population on 5G. You’ll be able to access both the 4G and 5G networks on most of Superloop’s mobile plans, although access to 5G is excluded on the cheapest plan.
