About Spriggy Mobile plans
Launched in 2024, Spriggy Mobile is an offshoot telco brand from the kid’s budgeting app and debit card provider, Spriggy, which offers a range of phone plans for kids. Like its financial product, Spriggy’s mobile plans integrate parental controls to help monitor your child’s phone usage.
There are three prepaid phone plans to choose from, which all operate on the Optus mobile network. There are different data inclusions to suit a range of usage needs and plans run on a monthly expiry period. All plans include unlimited standard national calls and SMS, along with no excess data charges. Data banking and 5G network access is available on the two more expensive plans. You also have the option to transfer an existing mobile number over to Spriggy, or get a new number on sign up.
What parental features does Spriggy Mobile have?
The big drawcard for choosing a Spriggy Mobile plan for your child rather than plans from most other telcos, is that there are a range of parental controls included with these phone plans. These parental control features for Spriggy Mobile are accessible in the Spriggy app.
Parents have the option to turn mobile data off and on, access your child’s call history and the option to turn off mobile data during school hours and at night time. Kids can also track their own data usage with their own login on the Spriggy app.
Which mobile network does Spriggy Mobile use?
Spriggy Mobile is an Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) using the Optus mobile network to deliver service. You’ll be able to access the 4G and 5G networks, although access to the 5G plan is restricted to certain phone plans.
