How to win 3 years of FREE groceries by being Aldi’s biggest fan

Budget supermarket Aldi has a particularly ‘good different’ proposition for shoppers looking for a bargain: the chance to win three years’ worth of free groceries, just by posting on social media. Aldi’s mega-fans have until the end of July to enter for a chance to win $300 in Aldi gift cards per week to spend on groceries every week for 156 weeks. That’s a $48,600 first prize!

How to enter

According to Aldi, this competition is about celebrating the creativity of its customers. To enter to win the main prize, you simply need to post on social media about your favourite Aldi food hack or the best Special Buy you’ve scored. Make sure your photos, videos or written entries use the hashtag #ALDIcore to be eligible. There are also five runners’ up prizes of a year’s worth of free groceries up for grabs.

Entries must be submitted before 11:59pm on Saturday, July 27, and will be judged based on creativity, originality and how well they embody the brand’s ‘good different’ slogan.

Aldi’s Group Director Simon Padovani-Ginies said the company wanted to “celebrate customers who have ‘good different’ in their DNA” while also recognising the squeeze Aussies were feeling from higher costs of living.

“Aldi has never been more aware of the need to continue to deliver the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices,” he said.

“We’re a different shopping experience and we are proud of the value we deliver to our customers every day – in that spirit we all know a person at a family barbeque or in our social media feeds who are also proud to be an Aldi shopper. Sharing the products they can’t live without, hacks that make them the masters of the checkout, or even stashing trolley tokens in every single handbag. That’s #ALDIcore.”

Tips for entering

  1. Be creative: Think outside the box. Come up with a unique way to show your love of Aldi.
  2. Be authentic: Share real stories and experiences.
  3. Use #ALDIcore: Make sure to use the hashtag in a post, not a story, and set your account to public so your entry can be found and considered.

Terms and conditions

The competition is only open to entrants aged 18 or older. Australian residents in all states and territories except Tasmania and the Northern Territory are eligible. Entries must be posted on Facebook, Instagram or Tiktok. Video and audio must be no longer than three minutes, and written posts no longer than 300 words.
