Score free Paramount+ streaming and rewards points with Origin internet

Once again, energy provider Origin is going all-out with a new offer to customers looking to switch their internet plan — one which could net you serious savings on your grocery shop.

While new customers to Origin internet plans have been able to score free Paramount+ streaming subscriptions previously, the deal is now even sweeter with a hefty 30,000 Everyday Rewards points also on offer. Read on to find out how you can save on your streaming and shopping by switching to an Origin internet plan.

Get over $200 in value by signing up to Origin internet

New customers to Origin internet (who are also new customers to Paramount+), can score a free 12-month subscription to the streaming service when signing up to one of Origin’s internet plans, including NBN plans and Opticomm plans across all speed tiers available. In addition to the free Paramount+ subscription, Origin is also offering 30,000 Everyday Rewards points when you make the switch.

To take full advantage of this offer, you’ll need to be a new Origin residential internet customer, a new Paramount+ customer (which does not include customers who have accessed a free trial in the past) and have a registered Everyday Rewards membership. This offer expires June 14, 2023, terms apply.

Everyday Rewards is the rewards points service offered by Woolworths and associated brands (Big W, BWS and more). If you’re already an Everyday Rewards customer, having the extra 30,000 points could go a long way to saving on your shop (with up to $150 in savings from these points alone) or boosting your Qantas points balance. If you’re not an Everyday Rewards customer but want to grab this offer, it’s free to sign up — just visit the Everyday Rewards site for more information, before signing up to your Origin plan.

Origin offers a range of internet plans across both NBN and Opticomm connections. Its NBN plans start at $74 per month for NBN 25 speeds, and go up to $154 per month for NBN 1000. All plans are month-to-month and include unlimited data, along with the option to either BYO modem or add a modem on to your plan for an additional upfront cost.

How do Everyday Rewards work?

You’ll earn a minimum of 1 point for every $1 spent at eligible stores and services (such as Woolworths supermarkets, BWS, participating Ampol service stations, Big W and more). For every 2,000 points you earn, you’ll score $10 Everyday Rewards dollars which can be used on a future shop, such as $10 off your grocery shop at Woolworths. If you decide to convert your points to Qantas points instead of Everyday Rewards dollars, every 2,000 Everyday Rewards points can be converted to 1,000 Qantas points linked to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

With the 30,000 bonus Everyday Rewards points, you’ll get $150 Everyday Rewards dollars, which can be used to save off your grocery shop at Woolworths supermarkets, or at BWS, Big W and participating EG Ampol locations. You can also choose when to use your shopping discount.

Save more on your grocery shop with Woolworths Mobile

If you’re looking for even more savings on your Woolies grocery shop, signing up to a phone plan with Woolworths Mobile can earn you 10% off your Woolworths grocery shop every month, with up to $50 in savings monthly (while you stay connected to your service).

Woolworths Mobile offers a range of phone plans, including both prepaid and postpaid SIM-only plans, along with postpaid plans bundled with a new Samsung or OPPO smartphone (including the latest popular devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S23 series).

How do Origin’s NBN plans compare?

Origin is one of close to 200 NBN providers offering plans, so in a very crowded market, it can be hard to stick out. Origin’s NBN plans do tend to be on the more expensive end of the market, although the energy provider offers the ability to bundle several utilities onto the one account (including energy and gas) for a $10 monthly discount on internet. In fact, Origin won the first-ever Canstar Blue Most Satisfied Customers award for bundled utilities in 2023, along with the 2022 Most Satisfied Customers award for NBN providers — proving that for some Aussies, a cheap plan isn’t always the biggest drawcard.

If you want to see what kind of value for money is available from other NBN providers, the below table compares a range of NBN plans across different speed tiers — switch between the tabs to compare plans on the different speeds.
