The Fab laundry product range is based on different types of scents to leave clothes smelling bright and fresh. A focus on fragrance has a subtle but noticeable impact on the laundry experience as well as the comfort of your clothes.
From an eco-angle, all Fab product packaging is recyclable, with powder packaging containing some recycled material. All surfactants used in Fab products are biodegradable. No phosphates are added to the mix during production, but according to Fab there may be some present at levels not exceeding 0.5%.
The Fab range is suitable for both front and top loader washing machines, in cold, warm and hot water cycles. Fab laundry powders and liquids are not recommended for use with silk or wool items (with the exception of Fab Wool & Delicates) and must not be combined with chlorine bleach.
Fab Core Range
The original Fab laundry products come in two fragrance varieties –Fab Sunshine Fresh (in both liquid and powder forms) and Fab Frangipani (powder only). These are both floral, summery scents that are broadly appealing no matter what your tastes.
Standard sizes are 1kg boxes for laundry powder, and a choice of 1L or 2L bottles for laundry liquid. Some retailers offer larger sized value packs.
Fab Aromatherapy
Offering a range of combination fragrant oil and floral scents, the Fab Aromatherapy product line is marketed as designed to ‘inspire’ your mind and body. The scents on offer are deeper than conventional scented laundry products, with the following options:
- Fab Relaxation – sandalwood oil & gardenia flowers (powder and liquid)
- Fab Harmony – argan oil & jasmine flowers (powder and liquid)
- Fab Serenity – eucalyptus oil & cherry blossoms (powder)

Fab Fragrance Temptations
For a luxurious fragrance experience, Fab consulted with a world famous perfume house to create Fab Spice Allure and Fab Gold Obsession. Look out for the predominantly black packaging to indicate Fab’s opulent offerings.

Fab Wool and Delicates
Described as a scent of ‘pure freshness’ (which apparently means orchid blossom) for your wool and delicates, this relatively recent addition to the Fab line-up protects fabrics that need a more gentle wash. Fab Wool & Delicates comes in a 1L bottle.
Should I use Fab laundry powder & liquid?
Fab is more focussed on the experience rather than the technical side of laundry. The range doesn’t cover products for particular laundry needs beyond the basics. On the flip side, the range remains uniform in price regardless of which scent line you choose, so there’s no dollar-value hierarchy of preferred fragrance. If you want your clothes to be more than just clean, but to smell fresh and floral, Fab may have the laundry detergent for you.
