How to save $100 on your next trip to the bowser with Ampol Energy

Queenslanders: Are you looking to shave a few extra dollars off your next trip to the bowser? The newly-launched Ampol Energy may be able to grant your wish!

The petrol major turned power provider is giving away $100 in AmpolCash to eligible customers in south-east Queensland who switch their home energy before September 1, 2023.

Households can cash in on the offer by signing up to the retailer’s Powering On plan online. Powering On comes with variable rates on an ongoing contract and has no exit fees.

In addition to the $100 digital fuel gift card, customers will also be eligible for an ongoing 10c per litre discount at participating Ampol fuel stations through the Powering On plan.

The $100 voucher is currently only available to new Ampol Energy customers in the Sunshine State. Ampol Energy states that customers will receive their voucher via email by October 31, 2023, however they must remain an Ampol Energy customer until that time to still be eligible.

For the full terms and conditions on this offer, it is best to visit the Ampol Energy website for more details.

Is Ampol Energy worth the switch?

Ampol Energy is a newer entrant to the electricity market, offering one variable rate plan to interested customers. Utilising its fuel station roots, the provider’s biggest selling point is its ongoing fuel discount for customers, which sees them saving 10c per litre on up to 1,500 litres each year. This discount is included as a part of the retailer’s flagship offer.

While the retailer is currently only servicing electricity households in SEQ, Ampol Energy claims it has plans to expand to other states in the near future, which interested customers can join the waitlist for by visiting its website. The retailer also claims it is working on carbon neutral and GreenPower plans for the future.
