The Find X8 Pro is an ultra-slim, ultra-stylish device, featuring smooth curved edges and barely-there bezels. One thing buyers will notice instantly is the Cosmos Ring design in the back, which houses all four rear cameras in a circular top-centre module. The phone’s body is comprised of aluminium and Corning Gorilla Glass, with the Pearl White variant offering a uniquely-patterned pearlescent finish.

OPPO’S newest phone includes a big, bold 6.78-inch Infinite View Display, which can hit 1,600 nits of peak brightness in sunlight. The screen comes with a fast 120Hz refresh rate for quick scrolling, and increased eye protection and dimming modes.

The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor with a Trinity Engine, which is designed to optimise CPU performance and deliver faster data speeds. OPPO has included a bigger vapor chamber to keep your phone cool even during intensive activity such as gaming, plus an all-day 5,910mAh battery with wireless flash charging capability.

The Find X8 Pro includes OPPO’s ColorOS 15, a specially-designed operating system based on Android 15. As with other Android 15 devices, the Find X8 Pro will come with six years of security updates. You’ll also get 5G connectivity, fingerprint and facial recognition security and dual SIM/eSIM compatibility.

Cameras

While the Find X8 Pro’s hardware and software updates are impressive, the phone’s hero feature is undoubtedly its next-level camera system. OPPO has continued its partnership with photography master Hasselblad to offer a professional camera lineup in the Find X8 Pro’s rear, plus a 32-megapixel front-facing lens.

The quad-camera setup in back includes a 50-megapixel ultrawide angle lens; a 50-megapixel main lens; 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens; and a 50-megapixel periscope ultra-telephoto lens. The system, combined with OPPO’s AI Telescope Zoom, allows for long-range photos and increased magnification without sacrificing image quality. You’ll also get a better low-light performance, thanks to the large Sony LYT600 sensor, plus a range of specialty portrait modes with Hasselblad colour tones.

Accessing the camera is fast and easy, with the Find X8 Pro’s side Quick Button: press to snap a photo, or slide your finger along the sensor to zoom in or out. You’ll also be able to take burst shots with the Lightning Snap feature, which allows users to capture up to seven frames per second by holding down the camera button.

Additional camera features and modes include panorama, cinematic, slo-mo, long exposure, and timelapse options. The Find X8 Pro also offers Dolby Vision 4K video at up to 60 frames per second.

AI features

2024 is the year of phone AI, and the OPPO Find X8 Pro is no exception. The device comes packed with AI enhancements for productivity, photo editing and day-to-day assistance. Some of the features you’ll get include:

  • AI Photo Remaster: Can be used to enhance clarity in zoom photos, remove reflections, unblur images, and erase unwanted objects.
