This eight-part thriller series made by the minds of Insidious and The Conjuring follows neighbours in rural Georgia in America. Sweetpea season one drops on Thursday, October 10, and is adapted from C.J. Skuse’s thriller novel of the same name. The show follows Rhiannon Lewis, an unassuming office manager turned serial killer who is out for revenge against the people who have wronged her.
Hysteria!
Pop-horror thriller series Hysteria! is set in the ‘Satanic panic’ era of the late 1980s, when a varsity quarterback suddenly goes missing. Teens in a heavy metal band capitalise on the disappearance by building a reputation as a Satanic band. But what follows is more than the band bargained for. Starring Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson, this biographical drama tells the true story of World War II veteran Bernie Jordan, who escaped from his care home at the age of 89 to attend the 70th anniversary of the D-Day Landings in France. A remake of the 1985 classic, The Colour Purple stars Fantasia Barrino, Danielle Brooks, Halle Bailey and Taraji P Henson. The film follows Celie, who is torn apart from her sister Nettie and forced to marry an older abusive man. The Colour Purple comes to Binge on Thursday, October 24.
