What is The Umbrella Academy about?
The Umbrella Academy follows seven children as they are adopted by billionaire Reginald Hargreeves, who intends on transforming them into a team of superheroes, with each child having their own ability (seemingly). The children grow up in the Academy, but lose contact as they become disenchanted with the world and their abilities, only to be reunited at the funeral of Reginald. But when one of them brings a message back from the future about an impeding apocalypse, they must reunite to become the superhero team they were always meant to be.
